EHS Crab Feed Event - additional FAQs
Since 1999, the Encinal High School (EHS) Athletic Boosters have organized the Annual Crab Feed Dinner and Auction. We also enlist the help of students and the community to help with volunteer activities and donations. The Crab Feed boasts only the freshest crab dinner complete with entrees and desserts. Festivities feature a live auction as well as a silent auction, featuring all kinds of gifts and rare finds.
Q: Where is the Crab Feed held?
The EHS Crab Feed is held at the O’Club at Alameda Point.
Q: Where do the proceeds go?
All profits from this event go towards athletic programs at Encinal High School. The EHS Athletic Boosters provide funds for such things as league dues, transportation, uniforms, balls and equipment, tournament and referee fees, and field maintenance. Any and all proceeds made from donations to the Crab Feed will go to the Booster General Fund which is used to support all athletic programs equitably.
Q: When is the Crab Feed?
The Annual Crab Feed Dinner and Auction is held between February and March, dependent on the school schedule.
Q: How do I obtain tickets to the Crab Feed?
Tickets can be purchased on our website HERE. We recommend purchasing your tickets well in advance, since we often sell out. You can purchase individual tickets or buy a VIP Table for 10. A VIP Table includes 2 bottles of wine and will ensure that you can be seated with your family and/or friends and that you have a prime location for the Live Auction and any presentations during the event. You can also purchase tickets at the Encinal High School office.
Q: How can make sure I'm seated at the same table as my friends?
The best way to be sure to be seated at the same table as other folks, is to purchase a VIP Table for 10. This will also ensure that have a prime location for the Live Auction and any presentations during the event.
Q: What’s for Dinner?
Local fresh Dungeness Crab served cracked-in-the-shell. And yes, it's crab served with melted butter, lemons and cocktail sauce, along with a “Crab Bib" to protect your clothes! Dinner also includes green salad, baked potatoes (and fixings!), bread, and cake for dessert. There’s also the option of bidding on delicious homemade desserts and drink pairings in the live auction, should you feel so inclined! Beer, wine, "Jet Fuel", soda and bottled water may be purchased from the bar with drink tickets. Your servers will be some of our wonderful student athletes from EHS.
Q: What is the Live Auction?
The Live Auction takes place in the ballroom after dinner. An auctioneer announces the items to be sold and those at tables can bid freely on these items. Past items have included accommodations at ski resorts, tropical and international venues (eg, New Zealand, France), private parties, and much, much more. The Live Auction is a high energy event.
In addition, we also have a Dessert Auction where guests have the opportunity to bid on the most delectable desserts, handmade by members of our community. Each dessert comes paired with drinks that have been chosen (and in some cases prepared) by our own community mixologists and sommeliers. Mouthwatering and delicious!
Q: What is the Silent Auction?
The Silent Auction features a variety of quality items including: paintings, collectibles, sports memorabilia, prints and photos, gift certificates for events, activities, restaurants, and goods and services, plus a wide selection of other desirable items in gift baskets. Guests can browse over wide variety of quality items or gift certificates while enjoying their favorite beverage (soft drinks, wine, beer and a signature cocktail are available for purchase during the event).

Q: How do I sponsor a table, place an ad in the program or donate?
The EHS Athletic Boosters are looking for local businesses and individuals to join us in service to the athletes at Encinal through sponsorship of the Annual Crab Feed. Some opportunities for sponsorship are outlined below, but feel free to create your own. No donation is too small to make an impact. All of our partnerships are important to the overall success of this annual fundraiser. Please email us at email@example.com with your inquiry.
- Sponsor a Table (requests must be received no later than February 4th)

Each table can have 1-4 sponsors listed, $25 to sponsor with up to 3 others or $100 to sponsor a whole table and be the only one listed in the display. For smaller businesses, sharing a table sponsorship is a great option to reach out to attendees without maxing out your marketing budget.
